When the teeth on your denture are in good shape and have not worn out in contrast to the denture base material, rebasing may be recommended. Rebasing is the procedure of changing the complete acrylic denture base without replacing the denture teeth, resulting in a more stable denture. If your denture is old or fractured, you may need to have it rebased. The distinction between a rebase and a relining is that a rebase replaces the entire pink-acrylic denture base material rather than just the lining.
